Santa Clara Valley Medical Center receives membership grant to join Vocera's Experience Innovation Network

Santa Clara Valley Hospital in San Jose, Calif., received a Safety Net Grant to join Vocera's Experience Innovation Network, a research collaborative aiming to discover and adopt innovations that restore the human connection in healthcare.

The grant was sponsored by an anonymous third party, designated for one safety net hospital providing care to low-income, uninsured and vulnerable populations.

The two-year grant provides SCVMC a two-year membership to the international network of CXOs, physician leaders and other executive thought leaders to rekindle the human experience element of care delivery.

"Safety net organizations can be stressful environments for healthcare providers due to limited resources and socioeconomic challenges," said Bridget Duffy, CMO of Vocera and co-founder of the Experience Innovation Network. "Through this grant, it is our hope to become a model for the nation by easing the burden of at least one safety net hospital, its staff and physicians by providing access to big ideas, innovative tools and proven solutions that improve the human experience in healthcare."
