HDMS Launches Centers of Excellence Reporting Tool

HDMS has announced the launch of a Centers of Excellence reporting tool that aids health plans in assessing an individual facility's quality in treating certain conditions or performing certain procedures.

HDMS' COE reporting capability allows health plans to analyze performance data in six specialty areas — bariatric surgery, cardiac care, complex and rare cancers, knee and hip replacement, spine surgery and transplants — from approximately 1,900 COEs across the country.

The module is intended to assist health plans in leveraging facility-level data that can be used to educate the marketplace about the value the high-quality, low-cost sites of care awarded the "Centers of Excellence" designation by health plans. Additionally, the module provides data specific to the COE service line, rather than performance data for the overall facility.
