HANYS highlights White Plains Hospital for achieving the triple aim

In June, the Healthcare Association of New York State launched its Triple Aim Campaign, highlighting member hospitals and health systems that are transforming healthcare by focusing on healthcare's triple aim.

The latest hospital spotlighted by the Triple Aim Campaign is White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital. White Plains Hospital deployed an interdisciplinary team to battle catheter-associated blood stream infections by conducting research on evidence-based practices and establishing care standards, including a new disinfection procedure.

The CLABSI rate at White Plains Hospital fell 70 percent in the six months after implementing the new disinfection procedure, saving the hospital nearly $300,000.
