Washington mental health facility tried to commit Cascade Mall assailant

Documents obtained by KING 5 news reveal that health officials at Kirkland, Wash.-based Fairfax Hospital attempted to commit Arcan Cetin, the man accused of killing four individuals in a shooting incident at Cascade Mall in Burlington, Wash., according to NWCN.

According to hospital records obtained by KING 5, physicians at Fairfax Hospital told a county judge they were concerned about Mr. Cetin prior to the Sept. 25 shooting .

In documents filed with the Island County District probation officers, physicians filed a request to admit Mr.Cretin to the mental health facility against his will, reports NWCN.

Hospital records also indicate that Mr. Cetin was diagnosed with autism, depression and ADHD. He allegedly taking Prozac, commonly used to treat depression, OCD, bulimia and panic disorders, for months prior to the incident.

Mr. Cetin confessed to the shooting and was charged with five counts premeditated first-degree murder. He is currently being held on $2 million bail.
