A federal grand jury indicted a former Munson Army Health Center employee charged with setting a supervisor on fire and attacking another individual who came to her aid in an incident earlier this month, according to The Wichita Eagle.
According to a criminal complaint, Clifford Currie threw gasoline on his supervisor while in her office at the Fort Leavenworth, Kan.-based facility around 5 p.m. on Sept. 7. Mr. Currie allegedly assaulted her with scissors and a straight-edge razor and proceeded to light her on fire.
A co-worker attempted to come to the woman's aid and was injured in the process, according to a statement released by acting U.S. Attorney Tom Beall.
If convicted, Mr. Currie faces a 30-year prison term and roughly $500,000 in fines.
