Auburn (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital is looking at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Rochester General Health System as potential partners, according to a Democrat and Chronicle report.
Rochester General Health System and University of Rochester Medical Center confirmed that formal proposals were submitted. Auburn officials said they could not name other suitors due to confidentiality agreements, according to the report.
Auburn sent out a notice seeking a "strong partner willing to make a financial commitment" a few months ago, but it has not yet finalized what form the partnership would take. One Auburn official said it could be a merger, affiliation or partnership, according to the report.
The deadline for proposal submissions was last week.
