Tucson Medical Center joins Mayo Clinic Care Network

Tucson (Ariz.) Medical Center has joined the Mayo Clinic Care Network, established by Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic.

With the collaboration, TMC physicians will be able to connect with Mayo Clinic specialists on questions of patient care via an electronic consulting technique called eConsults, according to a news release. TMC physicians also will be able to access Mayo Clinic-vetted medical information through the AskMayoExpert database.

The main goal of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, which represents non-ownership relationships, is to help people gain the benefits of Mayo Clinic expertise without having to travel to a Mayo Clinic facility.
