Mass General Partners With Maine Healthcare System for Telemedicine Programs

Lewiston, Maine-based Central Maine Health Care is partnering with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to offer telemedicine programs, according to a Sun Journal report.

MGH neurologists will be able to diagnose potential stroke victims at CMHC facilities through streaming video and state-of-the-art scanners, according to the report. In another program, MGH neurologists will diagnose and advise the treatment of patients experiencing neurological emergencies like ongoing seizures or sudden paralysis.

The programs will begin this spring, according to the report.
