The International Medical Graduate Program at the University of California in Los Angeles helps Latino physicians start practicing in the state, according to The California Report.
The program offers bilingual English/Spanish international physicians a stipend as well as board preparation classes and mentorship to help them find a primary care residency, according to the report. To participate in the program, physicians agree to practice medicine in underserved communities for two to three years after their residency.
