Louisville, Ky.-based Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare has entered into an agreement to acquire Louisville Surgical Associates.

The seven-physician surgical practice has long been affiliated with the system's Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, and its primary location is on the hospital campus.

Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's recently joined with Saint Joseph Health System to form KentuckyOne. University Hospital in Louisville had attempted to join the organization, but its inclusion was rejected by Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear.
