700-physician group to open 12 urgent care centers in Florida

Maitland, Fla.-based IP Network, an integrated network of 700 physicians, plans to add a dozen urgent care clinics in Central Florida, according to Orlando Business Journal.

The group is buying up existing urgent care clinics in the area and transforming them into "ER Clinix," which includes emergency room services and other services like radiology and imaging, in addition to traditional urgent care services, according to the report.

The clinics will employ emergency room physicians, lab technicians and radiologists, bringing more high-wage jobs to the area, according to the report.
