The four elements include:
•    Strategic deployment of resources
•    Executive and operational support
•    Unwavering sales focus and intensity
•    Accountability and measuring results

The paper also explores three types of alignment that can be achieved with a strong physician liaison managing the physician relationship management program: referral alignment, economic alignment and strategic alignment.

"A successful physician relationship management program doesn’t need to be complicated; however, attaining success requires a tireless focus on these four key elements," said Mr. Talbert.
