Allan Atkinson is serving as interim CEO and president of Columbus (Wis.) Community Hospital, according to a Columbus Journal report.
Mr. Atkinson retired in 2008 after serving as CEO at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa, for 10 years. He continued to work there for the past two years as a paid consultant.
CCH plans on hiring a permanent president and CEO in April or May, according to the report. B.E. Smith, the healthcare consulting firm which found Mr. Atkinson, has also been hired to conduct the search for CCH’s permanent CEO.
