Andrew Agwunobi, MD, CEO of Providence Health Care Eastern Washington Region, is moving to a new position with Renton, Wa.-based Providence Health & Services as vice president of special projects of the health system, according to a PH&S news release.
Mr. Agwunobi will be responsible for understanding new healthcare trends, best practices and future challenges and opportunities. He will also serve as a special consultant to PH&S leaders to assist in physician leadership development.
Mike Wilson, former CEO of PH&S' Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, Wa., replaced Mr. Agwunobi as interim CEO of PHC on June 2.
