Dr. Paul Klotman Named CEO of Baylor College of Medicine

Baylor College of Medicine has named Paul Klotman, MD, as its new president and CEO.

Dr. Klotman currently serves as chair of medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. While at Mount Sinai, he helped raise the department's National Institute of Health ranking from 24th to 14th and helped raise its annual funding from $37.8 million to $74.8 million.

He succeeds Dr. William Butler, who has served as interim president since December 2008. Dr. Klotman will take over the post on September 1.
