California's Palo Alto Medical Foundation Names CEO

Palo Alto (Calif.) Medical Foundation has named Richard Slavin, MD, as CEO, according to a San Francisco Business Times report.

The non-profit medical foundation has more than 1,000 affiliated physicians on staff, in addition to 4,500 other employees in the region.

Dr. Slavin succeeds longtime CEO David Druker, who died in July after a long illness. He has been president of PAMF's Camino Division since 2000 and a Sutter regional executive vice president since last year. He was also instrumental in the merger of Camino Medical Group into PAMF in early 2008, according to the report.
