University of Michigan Children's Hospital, Sparrow Children's to Partner for Pediatric Care

University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor announced that it will partner with Sparrow Children's Center in Lansing, Mich., to provide specialized pediatric care to children in the mid-Michigan area.

The affiliation will provide patients in Lansing with access to pediatric care at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. Specialists from the hospital will provide care at the Sparrow Children's Center. The partnership will help in making clinical research trials more readily available in the community. It will also allow for pediatric faculty to be jointly recruited to practice in the Lansing area.

University of Michigan Survival Flight is also set to take over as Sparrow's air medical transport service on Jan. 1, giving Sparrow enhanced neonatal intensive care transport.
