New Hanover Regional Medical Center Plans Outpatient Cardiology Center

New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., is planning an outpatient cardiology center and a hospitality house in Wilmington, according to a StarNews report.

The medical center has submitted plans for a 62,300-square-foot outpatient center and a 17,000-square-foot hospitality house to the city.

The outpatient center will house cardiac specialists and offer diagnostic services, but no further specific plans have been made, NHRMC spokeswoman Erin Balzotti told StarNews. The hospitality house will offer a place for families and patients to stay during treatment.

Construction is expected to begin in the summer, according to the report.
