Centura Health Opens Pediatric Emergency Care Center in Colorado

Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health announced the opening of a pediatric emergency care center at its Littleton (Colo.) Adventist Hospital, the result of a collaboration between Centura Health and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver.

Littleton Adventist Hospital has a new pediatric emergency center. The new pediatric emergency care center will be staffed by board-certified pediatricians who will follow Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children's quality protocols, according to the release.

This new center is the first step toward an integrated system of pediatric care planned by Centura Health and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.

The center builds on a relationship between the two organizations that began at the end of May, when they signed a letter of intent to explore options for collaboration on pediatric services at Centura Health's St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Their goal is to combine the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children's pediatric care guidelines and affiliated pediatric specialists with Centura Health's resources to enhance pediatric care in the region.
