Whidbey General Hospital holds off on CEO selection until February

The Whidbey General Hospital board of commissioners has delayed the selection of the hospital's next CEO until February, according to the Whidbey News Times.

Tom Tomasino, current CEO of Whidbey General Hospital, gave notice of his departure this past summer. The exact date of his last day has not yet been decided, but Mr. Tomasino said he could stay until October.

The board has named three finalists to choose from, including Geri Forbes, current CEO of Doctor's Memorial Hospital in Perry, Fla.; Michael Ellis, CEO of Big Bend Regional Hospital in Alpine, Texas; and Eric Jensen, CEO of Valley General Hospital in Monroe, Wash., according to the report.

Whidbey General Hospital board members said they will reach a final decision on who will succeed Mr. Tomasino Feb. 9.
