Technology company Verge Solutions has appointed Mark Crockett, MD, CEO, effective Feb. 1, and elected him to the board.
Here are five things to know about Dr. Crockett.
1. Dr. Crockett has been involved in healthcare technology ventures since 1997.
2. Most recently, he was CMO and senior vice president of strategy and innovation for Best Doctors, a consulting and advisory company.
3. He is a practicing Emergency Department physician at Advocate Healthcare in Chicago.
4. He is a published author in the Journal of the American Medical Association, and holds several patents in healthcare information systems.
5. Dr. Crockett earned a bachelor's degree from Wheaton College in Chicago and his medical degree from the University of Illinois, also in Chicago.
