St. Peter's Hospital Board Chair Steps Down, Takes VP Position

Maria Braman, MD, has stepped down as chair of the board of directors of St. Peter's Hospital in Helena, Mont., to take the role of vice president for medical affairs at the hospital, according to an Independent Record report.

The new hospital board chair is Patty Nelson, a CPA at Anderson ZurMuehlen, an accounting firm in Helena, Mont. She will be the sixth board chair since May 2011, according to the report.

In her new position, Dr. Braman will serve as a liaison between the hospital's medical staff and the administration, and also oversee quality of care. Dr. Braman is currently serving part-time in the position while she winds down her medical practice.
