St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill., has named Gregory Mishkel, MD, medical director of its Prairie Heart Institute, according to the hospital.
Dr. Mishkel currently is co-director of cardiac catheterization at St. John's Hospital and director of interventional cardiology at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, Ill. He is also a member of Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants.
Dr. Mishkel is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
He has previously served as a clinical professor of medicine at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield and as an assistant professor at the University of Toronto (Canada).
