North Hawaii Community Hospital in Kamuela has named Lowell W. Johnson interim CEO.

Mr. Johnson most recently served as interim president and CEO of Salinas (Calif.) Valley Memorial Health System.

Along with naming Mr. Johnson interim CEO, North Hawaii Community Hospital brought in Huron Consulting Group to assist in its turnaround. This will be the eighth time Mr. Johnson and Huron have worked together in a hospital or health system.

Mr. Johnson and Huron will work to get the hospital into the black, as NHCH has not achieved a positive operating margin in 17 years, according to the hospital.
