Medecision added William Gillespie, MD, to serve as executive vice president of population health management and CMO. Medecision helps healthcare organizations manage their population health management strategies as well as clinical and financial risk.
Dr. Gillespie has previously served as CMO of EmblemHealth, a nonprofit health plan in New York and Connecticut. He has also served as executive vice president and COO of the Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente regions outside California.
Dr. Gillespie has more than 30 years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare systems and operations. He earned his medical degree at University of Virginia School of Medicine, based in Charlottesville.
Dr. Gillespie's new role will include client account management for the company's care delivery, health plan and government health plan clients.
