Former Cleveland Clinic executive Fred DeGrandis named chief administrative officer of the Global Center for Health Innovation

Fred M. DeGrandis, formerly president and senior advisor of Cleveland Clinic-managed Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has been appointed to managing director and chief administrative officer of the Global Center for Health Innovation, according to Cleveland.com. He entered the newly created role last week.

The Global Center for Health Innovation in Cleveland serves health and healthcare innovation, technology, education and commerce through state-of-the-art spaces, programs and virtual offerings. It showcases the latest innovations of individual companies as well as collaboratively executive multi-organizational spaces, featuring showrooms with an emphasis on technology-based products.

Mr. DeGrandis retired Dec. 31, 2014 after spending 11 years in various roles at the Cleveland Clinic, including president and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, he held executive roles and Lakewood Hospital and St. John West Shore Hospital (now St. John Medical Center) in Westlake, Ohio.
