Chattanooga Times Free Press report.
Mr. Spiegel is the CEO of Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., a position he has held for the last five years. He will take on his new role at Erlanger in March, according to the report.
The vote concludes Erlanger's search for CEO after Jim Brexler stepped down in December 2011 under "pressure from the board," according to the Times Free Press. Charlesetta Woodard-Thompson, Erlanger's COO, has been serving as interim CEO.
