CEO of Miners' Colfax Medical Center in New Mexico Resigns for Oklahoma Job

Mike Carter, CEO of Miners' Colfax Medical Center in Raton, N.M., has resigned from his job, effective Oct. 14, according to a Raton Range report.

Mr. Carter has resigned to take a similar post at an unnamed Oklahoma health system. He has served at the helm of MCMC since 2009. Prior to joining MCMC, Mr. Carter served as CEO of Southeast Arizona Medical Center in Douglas for four years.

Mr. Carter's resignation closely follows the retirement of former CFO Albino Martinez, who left MCMC at the end of August.
