CEO Davie Lloyd Leaves Weems Memorial Hospital in Florida Without Explanation

Davie Lloyd, CEO of Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola, Fla., has stepped down from her role without a clear explanation, according to a News Herald report.

Hospital officials would not confirm whether or not Ms. Lloyd left the healthcare organization voluntarily, though one member of the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners called for Ms. Lloyd's removal as CEO during a commissioners' meeting in mid-October, according to the report.

After that meeting, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, which has an affiliation agreement with Weems Memorial, was given a Jan. 3 deadline to "satisfy the commissioners' concerns about Ms. Lloyd's performance," according to the report. The report did not include details on those performance concerns.

Cindy Drapal, chief nursing officer of Weems Memorial, was chosen to succeed Ms. Lloyd.
