Cancer Treatment Centers of America picks new VP: 5 things to know

Boca Raton, Fla.-based Cancer Treatment Centers of America has appointed Robert (Rob) Hauser, PharmD, PhD, vice president of clinical analytics at its Medicine & Science division.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Hauser.

1. He began his job Dec. 1.

2. In his new role, Dr. Hauser will direct the development of a robust analytics program to support enhancements in quality of care, clinical research and clinical innovation, officials said. He also will assess CTCA's clinical analytic and data needs, design strategy and tactics to meet those needs, and lead implementation of analytic and reporting strategies.

3. Most recently, Dr. Hauser was senior director of the American Society of Clinical Oncology's quality and guidelines department.

4. Previously, he was director of operations and informatics at the International Oncology Network. He also was vice president and COO of Geriatric Oncology Consortium.

5. Dr. Hauser earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Texas at Austin/The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and a doctorate degree in pharmacy practice and administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
