Bradenton, Fla.-based Blake Medical Center has announced Valerie Powell-Stafford will serve as its COO, according to an article in the Herald Tribune.
Blake Medical Center is part of Hospital Corporation of America based in Nashville, Tenn.
Ms. Powell-Stafford has been COO of Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, Fla., since 2009, which is also part of HCA, according to the article.
She is board certified in healthcare management as an American College of Healthcare Executives fellow, has served on the Board of Governors Examination Committee, was a board member of the Sarasota/Manatee American Heart Association and is a member of the Western Florida Chapter of ACHE.
