Anthony J. Cooper Named President, CEO of Newly Formed Arnot Health

Anthony Cooper has been appointed president and CEO of newly formed Arnot Health, according to a Star-Gazette news report.

The executive appointment comes soon after the New York Public Health and Health Planning Council approved the certificate of need application to consolidate Arnot Ogden Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital, both in Elmira, N.Y. The approval allows the hospitals to move forward and create non-profit regional healthcare system Arnot Health with Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath, N.Y.

Mr. Cooper previously served as CEO of AOMC since 1986. Meanwhile, Fred Farley has been named president and COO of Arnot Ogden Medical Center and St. Joseph's Hospital. He previously has been serving as COO and chief nursing officer of AOMC since 1990. James B. Watson will remain the president and COO of Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, and Ronald Kintz will serve as senior vice president and CFO of Arnot Health.
