Anderson Regional announces 2 leadership promotions: 8 things to know

Meridian, Miss.-based Anderson Regional Health System has announced two promotions within the system, according to a report from The Meridian Star.

Here are eight things to know about the two leaders being promoted.

Betty Young-Cryer, RN, MSN, has been named administrator of Meridian-based Anderson Regional Medical Center-South, a facility within the health system.

1. Ms. Young-Cryer began her nursing career in 1975 at Riley Hospital, now Anderson Regional Medical Center-South.

2. She has held numerous positions during her tenure, including CNO, acute medical clinical director, nurse manager, assistant nurse manger and staff nurse.

3. Ms. Young-Cryer also served as director of Riley Home Health Services early in her career.

4. She will continue her responsibilities as CNO of Anderson Regional Medical Center-South in addition to her new role as administrator.

Steven Brown has been named vice president of finance for Anderson Regional Health System.

5. Mr. Brown will serve in his new role after serving as controller and accounting director of the organization. 

6. He has worked in the accounting field for 25 years, including five years at RileyHospital, now Anderson Regional Medical Center-South.

7. Mr. Brown is a licensed certified public accountant in the state of Mississippi.

8. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, Medical Group Management Association and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
