5 recent hospital, health system CNO moves

The following five CNO moves have been announced in the last two weeks, starting with the most recent.

1. The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson named Terri Gillespie, MSN, as its new CNO, effective Sept. 1.

2. Mt. Pleasant, S.C.-based East Cooper Medical Center selected Terri Harris, BSN, MPH, as CNO.

3. Cathleen Wheatley, MSN, RN, will become chief nursing executive and vice president of clinical operations at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Sept. 8.

4. Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, N.C., appointed Catherine Landis, RN, to the newly created position of president and CNO.

5. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway (N.J.) named Ann Marie Shears, RN, as acting vice president of patient care services and CNO.
