Healthcare IT consulting firm Pivot Point Consulting, has hired two experts to lead population health and cybersecurity.
Here are seven things to know about the experts.
Brett Meyers, MD, was hired as CMIO.
1. Dr. Meyers has more than 18 years of clinical technology design, workflow and EHR implementation and operational experience in the hospital and payer markets.
2. His previous advisory engagements and positions have included Denver-based DaVita (now Healthcare Partners Medical Group), Elkhart, Ind.-based Bond Technologies and PacifiCare Health System, which was acquired by UnitedHealth Group in late 2005.
3. Dr. Meyers' expertise is specific to solutions and strategies concerning population health, outcomes-based medicine and managed patient cohorts – Medicare, Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act funded health exchanges, Pivot said.
Frank Siepmann was hired as senior cybersecurity advisor.
4. Mr. Siepmann provides strategic consulting support in the areas of planning, implementing and leading enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs, according to Pivot.
5. He has more than two decades of experience in the cybersecurity industry.
6. In 2013, Auerbach Publications published his book titled "Managing Risk and Security in Outsourcing IT Services: Onshore, Offshore and the Cloud."
7. Mr. Siepmann's leadership experience includes building and leading the security program for 3M HIS, a healthcare Software as a Service provider; interim director of cybersecurity at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle; and security officer at CGI overseeing the U.S. commercial operation.
