Apple wireless charged phones may be coming in 2017

iPhone users may no longer have to remember to bring their phone charger wherever they go, as Apple is developing wireless charging technology that may become available next year, reports Bloomberg.

Apple wouldn't be the first smartphone maker to offer wireless charged phones: Samsung and Google have released phones with this capability, though the phones have to be within a certain distance from a charging plate.

The details surrounding the new technology are still private, but individuals familiar with the matter told Bloomberg Apple is looking at technologies that allow the phone to be further away from charging plates than the current offerings.
