Baylor Scott & White teams up with Dallas Cowboys to build sports med complex

Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White has collaborated with the Dallas Cowboys to build a new sports medicine facility in Frisco, Texas. Together, officials from both organizations shared details for the $100 million project Wednesday, according to The Dallas Morning News.

The facility will be named Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy and Research at The Star and will be part of a 91-acre campus featuring the team's new headquarters and training facility.

Set to open late next year, the sports medicine complex will span roughly 300,000 square feet, according to the report. It will house an ambulatory surgery center, advanced diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehabilitation, physical therapy, concussion assessment and treatment technology, an urgent care center, pharmacy and physician offices. The building will also have a partial football field and a full-size basketball court for training and rehabilitation.

"There's none like it anywhere in the country," Joel Allison, president and CEO of Baylor Scott & White Health announced, The Dallas Morning News reported.
