Switching to EClinicalWorks, an ambulatory cloud EHR company, has cut the five-year expected cloud costs for Hyndman (Pa.) Area Health Center by 50 percent.
The Hyndman Area Health Center provides family medicine, dental care and behavioral healthcare. Beginning in 2015, the center saw a 186 percent increase in patients, leading it to switch over to EClinicalWorks, according to a Nov. 8 EClinicalWorks news release.
"The center was running nine servers to handle the new data load, which cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past several years," Hyndman CEO Bill Kurtycz said. "With the eClinicalWorks Cloud, we've cut that bill in half and are experiencing faster, more secure data transfer and storage. We know our patients' data is safe and secure and can easily be reached by our staff for streamlined operations."
