Salinas Valley Memorial in California to Release Exec Retirement Benefits in Ads

In an usual move, Salinas (Calif.) Valley Memorial Healthcare System plans to buy advertisements in local newspapers to reveal the retirement benefits of several system executives who are leaving by the end of February, according to a Salinas Californian report.

Retirement packages for CFO John Fletcher, Vice President of Operations Beverly Ranzenberger and Controller Frank Datsuda will be included in the ad, according to the report.

Three other executives have also resigned in the past month from Salinas Valley Memorial. David Perrot, MD, former CMO, Elizabeth Lorenzi, former vice president for business and physician integration, and Ann Kern, former administrative director of human resources, left for other organizations.

Between the executives who retired and resigned, most of whom who made roughly $300,000 per year, Salinas Valley Memorial expects to save $1.5 million in the reduced management costs.
