New MetroHealth CEO to Make Up to $1.1M

Cleveland-based MetroHealth System named John Brennan, MD, as president and CEO yesterday, and Dr. Brennan’s total compensation package could be worth between $750,000 and $1.1 million, according to a Cleveland Plain Dealer report.

His salary will be $685,000, but incentives, bonuses and benefits will push the total compensation figure higher. Dr. Brennan, an emergency medicine physician, made just less than $500,000 as CEO of Newark (N.J.) Beth Israel Medical Center in 2010.

Dr. Brennan’s predecessor, Mark Moran, made $825,000 in 2010, which included a $550,000 salary.
