CEO Declines Raise at South Carolina's Regional Medical Center
Tom Dandridge, president and CEO of Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, S.C., has turned down a board-approved pay increase, according to a Times and Democrat report. The increase would have put Mr. Dandridge's salary back at its 2010 level, from which he took a voluntary 5 percent pay cut, according to the report. Because Mr. Dandridge is an employee of QHR, a private management company that manages the public hospital, he declined to release the details of his salary.
Mr. Dandridge said in the report he rejected the raise because, "I have not given a raise to the rest of the hospital staff, and when and if that happens, I will reconsider the offer by the board."
