Patient Safety Movement partners with Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation

The Patient Safety Movement Foundation has partnered with the Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation in pursuit of its goal to achieve zero preventable deaths in hospital settings by 2020.

The EMPSF is a national group focused on improving patient safety in emergency settings. Emergency departments are the gateway to the hospital, with large percentages of a given hospital's inpatient admissions admitted through the emergency department.

Together, the patient safety groups plan to develop and disseminate information and toolkits to help providers improve patient safety in the emergency setting.
