Memorial Healthcare System, Florida Blue Form Clinical Integration Partnership

Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Fla., has signed a clinical integration agreement with payer Florida Blue to manage costs and improve quality outcomes.

The agreement will coordinate care between Florida Blue, Memorial Healthcare's hospitals and Memorial Health Network, a subsidiary of Memorial Healthcare that includes 1,073 physicians.

The agreement includes a value-based compensation structure for providers and plans to reach accountable care goals through preventive care and coordination of services, consumer education, reduced redundancies and improved transparency, according to the news release.

"Memorial is among the organizations that are on the forefront of innovative healthcare, providing quality care while helping to reduce costs. This type of agreement is considered a future healthcare model, and we are pleased to participate in this endeavor," Frank Sacco, president and CEO of Memorial Healthcare, said in the release.
