ApolloMed ACO Adds Physician Partners IPA

Physician Partners IPA, a multispecialty network of 50 physicians based in Garden Grove, Calif., has signed a participation agreement to join ApolloMed ACO, the Medicare accountable care organization of Glendale, Calif.-based Apollo Medical Holdings.

Under the agreement, ApolloMed and PPI will work together to provide ACO patients with high quality care at lower costs while sharing clinical data and managing the care of high-risk patients.

"Physician Partners IPA has earned a reputation as a premier and innovative healthcare provider in Orange County. We are delighted to welcome PPI and its physicians to our ACO," Warren Hosseinion, MD, CEO of Apollo Medical Holdings, said in the news release. "We are very excited to be building an integrated physician network in Orange County that will deliver more efficient care while focusing on each patient's needs."

ApolloMed ACO is growing its physician base: Santa Ana, Calif.-based Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc., joined the ACO earlier this month.
