Kaiser extends coverage for larger employers across all of Colorado

Oakland, Calif-based Kaiser Permanente is expanding its insurance plans for employers across all of Colorado, moving away from just its current urban focus in the state, according to an Aug. 22 Denver Business Journal report.

The new option will focus on companies with more than 100 employees. The shift to increased remote work has contributed to the new plans, the report said

"This really allows us to bring more nonprofit care to more Coloradans, as the workplace has certainly evolved," Mike Ramseier, regional president for Kaiser Permanente, said in the report. "Not everybody lives where their employer resides."

The proposal will be rolled out gradually starting in 2024.

Select Health, part of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health, is also expanding its coverage in the state.
