1. Noom, a mobile health coaching technology company, tapped ex-Uber Head of Data Aaron Schildkrout to join its board of directors.
2. Allison O'Toole, CEO of Minnesota's health insurance exchange MNsure, is departing.
3. New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System selected Joel Dudley, PhD, to serve as executive vice president for precision health.
4. The Health Care Cost Institute added former U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra to its governing board.
5. Nuance Communications, a provider of artificial intelligence-based solutions, named Mark Benjamin CEO.
6. New York City-based NYU Langone Health named Aravinda Chakravarti, PhD, director of its new Center for Human Genetics and Genomics.
7. Apple hired Google's Chief of Search and Artificial Intelligence, John Giannandrea, to run its machine learning and AI strategy.
8. Clio Health, a healthcare technology company, named Steve Dailey CEO.
9. Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System appointed Timothy Nelson, MD, PhD, to director of inaugural research and innovation for its campus in Eau Claire, Wis.
10. Diameter Health, a provider of clinical data solutions, named Harvard Pan chief technology officer.
11. Syapse, a precision medicine firm, selected Dennis Shin to serve as chief commercial officer.
12. Online therapy provider Talkspace tapped Neil Leibowitz, MD, a former UnitedHealth Group medical executive and an Optum vice president to join the startup.
