Cincinnati-based UC Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield have reached a new agreement on their provider-insurer relationship, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.
Under the deal, physicians at UC Health will remain in Anthem's network. Additionally, beginning this summer, University of Cincinnati Physicians and West Chester (Ohio) Hospital will participate in the insurer's Medicare Advantage networks, according to the report.
UC Health also will participate in Anthem's Enhanced Personal Health Care Program.
The new deal comes about three months after UC Health and UnitedHealthcare were not able to reach a new deal covering 5,000 older and disabled customers who use UnitedHealthcare's Medicare Advantage plan.
