Centene, the nation's largest provider of managed Medicaid services, led a $60 million funding round for behavioral health startup up Quartet.
Centene also announced a strategic partnership with Quartet, which offers HIPAA-compliant solutions aimed at improving care coordination between primary care physicians and mental health providers.
"Through deepening our partnership with Quartet, we are focused on ensuring that people in all communities can access the care they need," Jesse Hunter, executive vice president of mergers and acquisitions and chief strategy officer for Centene, said in a press release. "We are pleased to work with Quartet and other healthcare innovators to advance the role technology and services can play to improve the integration of mental health and primary care."
