The following physician assistant programs were ranked as top programs by U.S. News & World Report. Rankings are based on a survey of 154 programs, filled out by deans at peer institutions. Each school is scored on a scale from one to five, with five being an outstanding program.

George Washington University (Washington, D.C.). — No. 3
Oregon Health and Sciences University (Portland, Ore.) — No. 5

University of Utah (Salt Lake City) — No. 5
University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha) — No. 9
