CEP America names president: 6 things to know

Emeryville, Calif.-based staffing solutions company CEP America has named Imamu "Mu" Tomlinson, MD, president.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Tomlinson.

1. He is board-certified in emergency medicine.

2. He is chief of staff for Adventist Medical Center-Hanford (Calif.) and Adventist Medical Center-Selma (Calif.), where he will continue to practice as an emergency physician.

3. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He earned a Master of Business Administration in healthcare administration from California Coast University in Santa Ana.

4. He will take over for current CEO Wesley Curry, MD, who announced he would be stepping down from the position at the end of 2016. 

5. He began his role Jan. 1, 2016, and the CEP America Board of Directors intends to appoint him CEO in January 2017.
